Trailer: Alec Baldwin Plays Wild, Eccentric Detroit Auto Exec John DeLorean

John DeLorean was known for his career at General Motors and later as the founder of the DeLorean Motor Co. But that's not all.

"He's got cocaine, hot chicks, sports cars, bombed-out buildings, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, FBI agents and hard-core drug dealers," says son Zachary Tavio DeLorean in the trailer of "Framing John DeLorean," a new "hybrid documentary" starring Alec Baldwin, writes The Hollywood Reporter:

Onscreen text explains that the project is a "feature film documentary making of re-enactment" of DeLorean's career, whom one interviewee calls "the leading man Hollywood producers dream of."

DeLorean died March 19, 2005 at age 80 in New Jersey.

While at GM, he managed the development of the Pontiac GTO muscle car, the Pontiac Firebird, Pontiac Grand Prix, and the  Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. 

The film premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, which starts April 24, and hits theaters June 7. It also will be available throuygh video-on-demand services.
