The senior at Cornerstone Health and Technology High School in Detroit is "not sure where he's headed next fall yet, but he’s got a binder full of offers," reports Jenn Schanz of WXYZ (two-minute video is below).

"I got told a lot when I was younger I couldn’t do this, I couldn't do that," Love said. "So I just wanted to show people I’m better than what they think I am."

He applied to more than 50 schools for next year. Not only do most want him — many are offering to foot the bill. "It's over $300,000 in scholarship money I have as of right now," Love said.

Cornerstone was able to waive the acceptance fees for most of Love's prospective schools.

The well-rounded teen, also featured Tuesday on CBS Morning News, plays varsity basketball, is a National Honor Society member and has a part-time job. He plans to study aerospace engineering and tells Schanz he plans to pick a college by April.

His west-side school at Southfield and Outer Drive is part of the Cornerstone Schools chgarter network.
