Blame Keith Wisniewski of Seattle, a freelance creative director and writer. While watching Sunday's first episode in the eighth season of "Game of Thrones," he was reminded of a classic 1981 commercial from the Detroit retailer.
A model in a full-length white fur rides a galloping horse in a snowy setting, as shown in the half-minute video at the end of this post. Fast-forward nearly four decades, add digital editing tools, and this is what an imaginative adman tweets Friday afternoon:

Dittrich, now in its fifth generation of family ownership, still sells furs on Third Avenue in Detroit's New Center area and on Woodward in Bloomfield Hills.
