A 37-year-old female inmate at Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility in Ypsilanti died Friday after complaining about a bee sting, Paul Egan of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Lisa Marie Johnston was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after complaining about being stung by a bee and suffering an apparent severe allergic reaction, the Freep reports. She was discharged Friday and returned to the prison where she collapsed and died two hours later.
She pleaded guilty this year in Grand Traverse County to making and delivering Methamphetamine and was sentenced last month to two and a half to 20 years in prison.
