The Tigers are coming home with two victories in their pockets, and two games closer to heading to the World Series.

Sure, it may be way too soon to talk about the World Series, but what the heck. If they keep this up, and the Yank bats remain sleepy, it's a very good possibility.

The Tigers smoked the Yankees Sunday in the Bronx 3-0 with some awesome pitching by Anibal Sanchez and some great relief from Phil Coke. Sanchez gave up three hits and struck out seven.

Jose Valverde was missing from the field, and not one Detroit fan was complaining.
