The game will raise money for the restoration of the stadium, one of the few remaining Negro League ballparks in the country. White donated $10,000 to a crowdfunding effort for the restoration this year.

The Free Press reports

The game will start at noon Thursday at Hamtramck Stadium, 3201 Dan St., Hamtramck. The event is free. Money will be raised via donations and an online auction of autographed gear, said organizer Dave Mesrey.

... Thursday's game comes ahead of the Raconteurs' North American tour kickoff, Friday and Saturday at Detroit's Masonic Temple Theatre.

Facing off against White's squad will be "a team that includes Detroit media folks," Brian McCollum writes.
