Pasquale's Restaurant in Royal Oak shut in April after 65 years on Woodward Avenue
Now there are plans to replace the high-visibility property with a building, possibly two stories, for three tenants.
Big Boy will be one of the restaurants and Buddy's Pizza is possibility, Annalise Frank of Crain's Detroit Business reports.
Big Boy Restaurant Group LLC, owned by an investor team led by chain CEO David Crawford, signed a 50-year ground lease in June with the DelGiudice family that owns the shuttered pizza-and-pasta restaurant, Crawford says. His group has ambitious ideas for expanding the brand locally and improving the menu.
Buddy's also plans to expand in Metro Detroit and beyond with money from an investment group.
