Co-Creator of the Golden Butthole: Guess What He Dresses as for Halloween

October 31, 2019, 12:18 PM by  Allan Lengel

The sculpture on Hall Road unofficially named "the Golden Butthole."

Andrew Kozinski, one of the creators of the "Golden Butthole," a fun social media campaign that mocked the giant sculpture on Hall Road in Sterling Heights, couldn't resist.

For a recent Halloween event at Cherokee Elementary School in Clinton Township, Kozinski, who is in the advertising business, dressed in costume as the Golden Butthole. (The sculpture got the nickname after some considered it an eyesore rather than art.)

"People thought it was the best costume of the year," he says.

But he didn't stop there. Poking fun at the endless construction mess on Hall Road, his wife Julianna, and their three children -- Weston 4,  Henry, 6, and Xandria, 11 -- dressed for the event as construction workers. (See photo below.)

On Thursday, Halloween night, the family is likely to go trick-or-treating at Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights. He said his kids are going to opt for different costumes than last Friday, but he says he'll parade around the mall as the Golden Butthole.
