The long-anticipated grand opening for Buddy's Pizza at 1565 Broadway in downtown Detroit's Grand Circus Park area is set for Wednesday, Dec. 11.
A soft opening comes next Thursday, Dec. 5.
This is the second Detroit location, joining the original Buddy's on Conant and McNichols, which began in 1946.
The new space, occupied by Angelina Italian Bistro until 2017, is near Comerica Park.
Buddy's adds to the downtown area landscape for pizza, which includes Mootz on Library Street, Shield's Pizza in Midtown and Supino Pizzeria in Eastern Market.
