A series of video shorts about two suburban Detroit entrepreneurs sounds more fitting for a business school than a YouTube channel, but "Detroit Rubber" has special ingredients.

Burn Rubber CapEminem is an executive producer, it focuses on the hot Royal Oak streetwear boutique Burn Rubber and it's backed by more than $53,000 from the state, The Daily Tribune reports.

“Detroit Rubber” follows Rick Williams and Roland Coit as they balance family, a growing business and the opening of their new boutique called two/eighteen, which is also in Royal Oak.

The Michigan Film Office announced Friday the show is getting a $53,459 incentive on $169,877 of projected expenditures in the state.

The show will be released on the premium YouTube channel LOUD.

Burn Rubber Royal Oak BoutiqueBurn Rubber on West Fourth Street specializes in limited edition kicks and features in-store appearances by hip-hop artists. It also sells T-shirts, hoodies, jackets and caps.

“We’re trying to be the spot for streetwear culture in Detroit,” Coit told The Detroit News in 2009. He and Williams have run the shop since early 2007. Coit is 33 and Williams is 31.
