Allen Park Voters Say No to Tax; State Oversight Next?

Allen Park voters turned down a property tax millage Tuesday that would have helped extricate the city from a $1.6 million budget deficit that stems from a failed Hollywood studio project.
The tax hike failed in every precinct.
The city now is unable to prepare a balanced budget and officials will soon be talking to state officials about solutions, including an emergency manager.
