Man Shoots and Kills Intruder, Wounds Wife

A man on  Detroit's west side shot and killed an intruder early Wednesday but wounded his wife in the incident. 

The wife, whose name was not available, was hit in the shoulder and was in serious condition.

A second intruder fled the scene but apparently injured himself jumping out a window.  Police followed the blood to a nearby home and arrested him.
