The Romney Pile-On: Michael Barone says 14-year-old Mitt was 'kind of a jerk'

It's almost become too easy to make fun of Mitt Romney. Between his fixation on the height of trees to his decision to take "a lot of credit" for the auto industry recovery to his non-denial denial to accusations that he bullied a younger student at Cranbrook. He's dangerously close to Martha Reeves or Donald Trump territory, after awhile there's no longer any sport in mocking their missteps. 

Still, in light of today's Washington Post story, it's hard to overlook this clip of conservative political journalist Michael Barone reminiscing about attending Cranbrook with the presidential candidate. 

"I've always had trouble taking him seriously as a candidate because I have this memory of him as a 14-year-old boy who was kind of jerk in the way most 14-year-old boys are, myself included," Barone said.
