No so long ago we would have been hard pressed to report that anything positive was going on in the Metro Detroit housing market.
But things have changed.
The Detroit News reports that Metro Detroit "continued to help lead the recovery in nationwide housing prices with nearly a 12 percent increase in November compared with a year ago."
The Detroit area's 11.9 percent price growth was the third highest in the nation in November, the news reported.
"Housing is clearly recovering," David Blitzer, chairman of the Index Committee at S&P Dow Jones Indices was quoted as saying in the News.
