Detroit 5th In Tech Job Growth On Dice.com

March 12, 2013, 9:53 AM

The tech job listing website Dice.com ranks Detroit fifth in the nation in tech job growth, according to a CBS article.

The ranking's only criteria is number of jobs posted on Dice.com, so at the very least, Detroit is fifth in the nation in increasing the number of listings on Dice.com.

Detroit had about 1,100 jobs listed at any time in 2012 -- about 10% more jobs than it had in 2011 -- and is the only city to win a spot on the list twice.

Dice.com explains:

Automation Alley, Michigan’s largest technology association, ranked the greater Detroit region among the best for its strong record of students completing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) degrees.

CBS also taps Quicken Loans, Domino’s Pizza and New World Systems for their contributions to Detroit's job growth.
