Hadfield, 53, is a veteran pilot and the first Canadian to walk in space. Born in Sarnia, his five-month stint in space began in December and will end in May.

In an interview Monday from the space staton with Canada's CTV network, Hadfield said he has dreamed for years about traveling in space, and he plans to sleep as little as posible.

"My resolution has been to make the absolute most of it," he said. "To spend as little time sleeping as I can."
