Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema has doubled-down on his endorsement of the factually dubious anti-gay column by Dr. Frank Joseph that he posted recently on Facebook.

Among the "stats" cited in Joseph's column: “The median age of death of lesbians is 45 (only 24% live past age 65). The median age of death of a married heterosexual woman is 79."

The source of that data, according to conservative MLive columnist Ken Braun, is Dr. Edward R. Fields, a "non-practicing chiropractor" from Marietta, Ga.

Fields is also cited as Joseph's source to back up claims that "homosexuals are 100 times more likely to be murdered."

These assertions have been roundly debunked, like pretty much everything in the Joseph column that Agema continues to defend.

But this Dr. Edward Fields isn't just a factually inaccurate out-of-work back cracker. According to Braun, citing the Anti-Defamation League, Fields is also a Holocaust-denying white supremacist.

MLive: “Edward Fields has been active in white supremacist and anti-Semitic groups since he was a teenager in the late 1940s ... Fields was a significant force in the racist world ...”

“In 1991 he organized a Klan rally in Montgomery, Alabama, along with Thom Robb of the Knights of the KKK.”

“In February 2001 he attended the funeral of Byron de la Beckwith, murderer of civil rights activist Medgar Evers ...”
Fields also penned a just-asking-questions pamphlet entitled “Was There Really a Holocaust?”

And Dave Agema says: "It’s not about hate, folks."

Oh, really. Tell me again about how you're not a bigot, Dave.
