Detroit Mayoral Race Debate No. 1 Is A Four-Way

May 19, 2013, 6:18 AM

Let the sparring start: Four Detroit mayoral candidates square off in a May 30 debate at Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel, Kirk Pinho reports at Crain's.

On the second day of the Detroit Regional Chamber's annual policy conference, these candidates will debate:

  • Mike Duggan, former CEO of the Detroit Medical Center
  • Benny Napoleon, Wayne County sheriff
  • Fred Durhal Jr., a state House member
  • Lisa Howze, a former state representative

The moderators are editorial page editors Stephen Henderson of the Free Press and Noland Finley of The Detroit News, Pinho writes.

Deadline Detroit will live-blog that event and cover the conference daily from the Grand Hotel.
