Reality TV: See A&E Video Of Police Raid That Killed Aiyana Stanley-Jones

Jurors in the case of a Detroit police officer accused of fatally shooting a 7-year-old girl during a May 2010 raid watched the action Tuesday  when a video shot for a reality TV show was played  in Wayne County Circuit Court, Elisha Anderson reports in the Free Press.

Film crews accompanied Detroit police on the raid at a home on Lillibridge that ended in the death of Aiyana Stanley-Jones. Officer Joseph Weekley is accused of firing the bullet that hit her during the raid as she slept on the couch.

He is charged with felony involuntary manslaughter and careless discharge of a firearm causing death.

The camera is a considerable distance from the porch, and much of the action takes place out of the viewer's sight. Still, it's chilling to see police rush the home and witness the explosion of the flash grenade and hear the gunshot that killed Aiyana amid loud barking.
