With just days to go before the Aug. 6 primary, the latest poll shows Mike Duggan leading Benny Napoleon.

WWJ radio reports that he poll, which was commissioned by MIRS and conducted by Target Insyght, showed that Duggan had about 36 percent of the vote compared to Napoleon's 29 percent.

Duggan and Napoleon have gone back and forth as leaders in the race in the past several months.  When Duggan got kicked off the ballot, and temporarily dropped out, Napoleon clearly became the front runner.

But if this poll is accurate, Napoleon has lost that advantage.

On the other hand, some people love to vote for the underdog, a status Duggan no longer enjoys, according to the poll. The top two candidates in the race will square off for the mayoral seat.

WWJ reports that the poll also found  Duggan leading among black voters and in all age groups.

The poll shows that candidate Tom Barrow has under 8 percent support, former Rep. Lisa Howze has 6.4 percent; Krystal Crittendon,  5 percent; Rep. John Olumba, 1.4 percent and Rep. Fred Durhal,  0.9 percent.
