Fox2 Video Shows Brawl Between DDOT Driver and Passenger

Fox 2 News Headlines

Buses are supposed to provide public transportation and take people from point A to point B, and perhaps C with a transfer. It can be pretty routine and pretty dull. But it serves a purpose.

Then occasionally a live version of the World Wrestling Federation breaks out.

Fox2 aired a video of a female DDOT driver going at it on Monday with a female passenger who reportedly became irate when  her transfer card got stuck in a scanner. The passenger got on the bus around Greenfield and W. McNichols.

Ron Savage of Fox2 reports that the passenger started yelling and spitting at the driver. The two went at it and the driver used keys as a weapon.

One passenger tried to initially break it up but then walked away. The driver and passenger slugged it out as some passengers egged them on, Fox2 reports. Eventually, the fight was broken up. Police arrived afterwards.

Fox2 reports that the passenger was arrested and the driver was treated for cuts and bite marks. The union says the driver is now on occupational leave. -- Allan Lengel
