In Thank-You Ad, Lidstrom And Family Say, "We're All Metro Detroiters"

Niklas Lidstrom's teammates used to kid him that he was the :perfect human being."

Maybe they were right.

As if he didn't say enough nice things when he announced his retirement Thursday, Lindstrom and his family took out an ad to thank all metro Detroiyers, not just hockey fans.

"We will always cherish our time spent here and are proud to claim that we are also from Detroit," read the ad.
