For a moment there, we'd almost forgotten about Bob Bashara, that burly fella who could have been a character in Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction."

With all the allegations of murders, mistresses and talk of sex dungeons, Bashara has captured the public's attention.

On Monday, he'll once again be in the limelight as a preliminary examination begins in Detroit's 36th District Court before Judge Kenneth King.

Prosecutors will lay out their case, which could take about five days, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Elisha Anderson and Gina Damron of the Free Press write:

Attorneys on both sides have remained mum on many of the case’s details, but court documents reveal that Wayne County prosecutors plan to call more than 21 witnesses to testify during the week-long preliminary exam before 36th District Judge Kenneth King.

“The testimony itself is anticipated to be one entire week of full-day testimony,” according to a notice filed by prosecutors regarding the exam, which will be held at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice.

Bashara is already serving time after he pleaded guilty to putting out a hit on Joe Gentz, the handyman who has pleaded guilty to killing Jane Bashara.

Gentz alleges that he murdered the wife at the behest of Bashara. Bashara has previously denied the allegation.

Bashara faces a barrage of charges including murder,  conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit murder, suborning of perjury during a capital trial, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

The Freep reports that Bashara's involvement in bondage, discipline, sadomasochism, and his sex dungeon in the basement of one of his commercial properties, is expected to surface during the exam.
