Detroiters are tired of hearing the stories about ruin porn and tourists and photographers coming here to see the Roman-like ruins.
Still, those kind of stories keep coming.
Local tour guides who show the ruins are growing, Alana Semuels writes in the Los Angeles Times, as more visitors want to see the urban ruins.
Since the city declared bankruptcy in July, hotels say they've seen an uptick in visitors inquiring about the ruins. So have restaurants in the up-and-coming district of Corktown, near the abandoned train station.
