DIA Wants Kresge Court to be a "Living Room Where People Hang Out"

The Detroit Institute of Arts, one of the gems of the city that attracts a good number of folks, has plans to lure more.

Crain's Detroit Business reports that the DIA has plans to make the Kresge Court inner courtyard and front law even more of a hang out by adding new seating, live musical performances, free Wi-Fi and lecturers.

"We would like ... to really have it be a living room where people hang out, listen to music, hear a short lecture about art (or) ... read the newspaper," COO Annemarie Erickson told Crain's.
