Meryl Davis, of West Bloomfield, and Charlie White, of Ann Arbor, have become the first U.S. ice dancing duo to win an Olympic gold medal.
WXYZ: The pair secured the United States first-ever gold in the event just four years after earning a silver medal at the Vancouver Olympic Games.
The pair trains at the Arctic Edge Figure Skating Club in Canton. The club hosted a watch party Monday to cheer on Davis and White from afar.
And to anyone whining about a "spoiler:" A news organization's job is to report newsworthy events in a timely manner, even it some other organization plans to rebroadcast the event on tape-delay.
