Detroit wants another 350 people on the payroll.
The city basically needs more and better everything, so officials are hiring police officers, bus drivers, EMTs, mechanics, construction workers, electrical workers, plumbers and other workers.
City officials have said preference will be given to Detroit residents and honorably discharged veterans.
Applicants should bring multiple copies of their resume to Detroit's job fair Friday and Saturday at Cobo.
