Another obstacle has been cleared in the Dingells' quest for a 100-year reign in Congress, as foretold in the prophecies.

State Senator Rebekah Warren announced she won't run to replace retiring Congressman John Dingell this fall.

Detroit Free Press: State Sen. Rebekah Warren, D-Ann Arbor, announced on her Facebook page that after a week of talking with supporters, she’s decided not to run for the seat.

“I have decided, however, not to do it, and to run instead for my second term in the Michigan Senate,” she said on her page. “My heart is in Lansing right now, and I believe I can do the most good working for Michigan, in Michigan.”

John Dingell's wife, Debbie, announced she is running for the seat her husband has held since 1955. John Dingell replaced his father in the U.S. House. The elder man served 22 years in Congress from 1933 until his death in 1955.
