Politico Tests Your Debbie Dingell Knowledge Because Of Course

Politico took some time out from in-depth coverage of critical process and policy issues celebrating the nexus of political power and special interest money (often for pay) to test readers' knowledge of Michigan congressional candidate Debbie Dingell.

Unlike Buzzfeed quizzes, which at least tabulate your results and let you know if you're personality is more like gouda or parmesan cheese, Politico's 10-question Dingell quiz requires you to score yourself.

The Beltway's answer to E! News doesn't even rank your score. Is six out of ten good? Are you a "Debbie Bestie" if you answered eight questions correctly, or do you need nine right to achieve that high honor we just made up?

These are the things readers need from pointless online quizzes, especially if Politico wants us to understand, holistically, how Washington, D.C. operates

If you're going to reduce congressional candidates to a random collection of mostly meaningless factoids, at least give readers the satisfaction of ranking their knowledge of said meaningless factoids.

I mean, how does one value that fact that one knew that Debbie Dingell's master's thesis was about "Congressional gridlock and how to eliminate it and not "implementing free market economies in Central America"?

You've failed your Debbie Dingell knowledge-testing readers, Politico. You've failed the nation.
