But wait! There's more!
In the latest episode of the Cush drama, Detroit police officially reissued a traffic citation to City Council president pro tem George Cushingberry.
The original ticket was dismissed after the officer who was supposed to testify did not appear in court. Not because he didn't feel like it, but because no one told him he was supposed to be there -- his subpoena was sent to the wrong building.
The citation in question was issued to Cushingberry back in January for failing to signal. At the time, Cushingberry had also driven away from cops twice with a cup of liquor and half a joint in the car, but was not cited for those actions.
Craig said after an internal investigation of a police supervisor’s handling of the incident he believed Cushingberry was given “preferential treatment.”
