Dan Gilbert Jokes Around With Seth Meyers And Warren Buffett

March 14, 2014, 11:00 AM

Dan Gilbert and his new best buddy Warren Buffett sat down with former SNL star Seth Meyers Thursday night on NBC's new show Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Gilbert and Warren Buffett are promoting their offer to give one billion dollars to anyone with a perfect March Madness bracket. (Let's be real -- we're all going to try, but no one will have a perfect bracket.)

Meyers did not ask about Detroit specifically, (come on Seth!), but Gilbert and Buffett did let slip that the marketing campaign was crafted while the pair were "touring Detroit."

Buffett was in town last November to promote Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses initiative.

Also, manufacturing controversy: Gilbert said Cleveland is the "best sports town in America."

We would be remiss to point out that in the 50 years since Cleveland's last pro sports championship ('64 Browns) Detroit has earned two World Serieses, three NBA Championships, and four Stanley Cups. And as for legends who didn't win it all, Barry Sanders was so much better than Bernie Kosar.
