It was  a body slam that got noticed around the region.

Now, football player Jayru Campbell has been readmitted to Cass Tech High School,  a spokesperson for Detroit Public Schools announced Wednesday, according to WDIV.

The station reports that a judge is considering a pending plea agreement in the case that would allow his record to be expunged if he completes his sentence. He could get jail time, probation or community service.

He is charged with assault after he slammed a school security officer to the ground.

"We are unable to discuss the decision because Mr. Campbell's educational records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Unless his parents authorize the District to release those records, we cannot comment further," the school district said in a statement.

Campbell has said he will play for Michigan State University in 2015.
