Attorneys for the Oakland County cancer doctor accused of defrauding Medicare and giving patients unnecessary chemotherapy want a change of venue for his upcoming trial, WDIV reports.

Defense attorneys claim Dr. Farid Fata can't get a fair trial in Michigan because of extensive media coverage and comments on social media.

But the reality is he's not likely to get a change of venue. The bar for getting one is pretty pretty high.

How high?  Not even Kwame Kilpatrick could get one. And everyone in town seemed to know who he was.

At the time, U.S. District Judge Nancy G. Edmunds ruled against a change for Kilpatrick, saying: "I'm sure it's going to be no surprise to anyone in this courtroom that I'm going to deny this motion."

So, Dr. Fata can likely expect a trial in Detroit.
