MSU Coach Tom Izzo's name keeps popping up as a candidate for an NBA coaching job.
Not long ago his name surfaced as a possible replacement for the Pistons coaching job.
Now, his name has surfaced in the rumor mill as a possible replacement for Minnesota Timberwolves Coach Rick Adelman, who is retiring, according to the website Campus Spun.
The website includes a tweet from Jeff Goodman of ESPN:
Timberwolves coaching job is officially now open. Two names that will be in the mix, per sources, are Tom Izzo and Fred Hoiberg.
Gary Parrish of CBS tweeted:
Flip Saunders is tight with Tom Izzo and Fred Hoiberg. I’d bet one of them is at the very least offered the Timberwolves job.
The website "Fansided" has also speculated that Saunders just might make himself the head coach. -- Allan Lengel
