Say It Ain't So! Prince Fielder Naked In ESPN The Magazine

July 08, 2014, 4:47 PM

ESPN The Magazine‘s annual “Body Issue” hits newsstands July 11, but a number of photos have been released, including those of Prince Fielder, the former Tigers first baseman who was traded to the Texas Rangers in the off-season.

Fielder joins Venus Williams, Olympic gold medalist Jamie Anderson, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka, U.S. World Cup player Omar Gonzalez, WNBA All-Star Angel McCoughtry and light heavyweight boxing champion Bernard Hopkins, who at 49 1/2 is the oldest athlete in this year’s edition.

The New York Post was taken by Fielder's heavily tatted bod. All of it.

Two of the most eye-catching athletes featured in the upcoming annual edition are 23-year-old professional surfer Coco Ho and 275-pound first baseman Prince Fielder.

Fielder, who is a vegetarian, discussed his pride in becoming a five-time All-Star after being doubted for so long because of his size.

“A lot of people probably think I’m not athletic or don’t even try to work out or whatever, but I do,” Fielder said. “Just because you’re big doesn’t mean you can’t be an athlete. And just because you work out doesn’t mean you’re going to have a 12-pack. I work out to make sure I can do my job to the best of my ability. Other than that, I’m not going up there trying to be a fitness model.”
