June 28th, 2012, 6:08 AM
While all went well at the Detroit fireworks this week, the same couldn't be said for a smaller event in Centerline on Tuesday night.
The Macomb Daily reports that a 19-year-old Warren was shot and wounded in the back around 11 p.m. as the fire works at Centerline Memorial Park was ending. Public Safety Director Paul Myszenski told the paper:
“For some unknown reason this young man gets shot in the back right on the apron of our fire station,” Myszenski said. “He collapsed and some friends helped him.”
The man has been hospitalized and is listed in serious condition. Police said the shooting remains a mystery.
