It was bad news for Vinsetta Garage, a restaurant cursed with a busy business and not enough parking.

Erika Erickson of Fox 2 reports that the Berkley City Council on Monday rejected a proposal by the restaurant to tear down four homes it bought on Oxford Street to make way for a parking lot. The council sided with neighbors.

Curt Catallo, Vinsetta's owner, has been frustrated as he tries to find more parking opportunities.

"Unfortunately, denial doesn't fix the problem but we're still committed to finding a solution, and we want to give the folks of Oxford and Eaton [streets] what they want, which is cars off of their streets and we're still looking for a solution," Catallo says.
