It was a sad ending to a life.
Steve Neavling of Motor City Muckraker writes that emergency crews pulled a body from a manhole cover early Thursday morning on the I-96 Service Drive on the west side.
Neavling writes that police are trying to determine if the was trying to steal copper electrical wires in the exposed manhole.
Firefighters tried to rescue the man sooner, but had to wait for the city to cut off electricity, Motor City Muckraker reports.
He reported that authorities have placed a tire over the exposed manhole.
