Local foodies have something to get excited about.
First off, Eater Detroit reports on recent restaurant openings by Wright & Company, Rose's Fine Food, and Antietam.
Update, 6 p.m.: Antietam is shut for at least a week to “rework some things,” owner Gregory Holm tells Louis Aguilar of The Detroit News.
"Detroit has taken a huge step forward in becoming the culinary hot spot it was always meant to be," Victoria Trudeau of Eater Detroit writes.
Trudeau also lists "10 Of Detroit's Most Anticipated Restaurants," though one is actually in Hamtramck. The restaurants range from fine dining to a quick bite and brunch joints.

• Campau Tower: The legendary late night burger place shocked fans when they closed unexpectedly this summer, but chef Nikita Santches of Rock City Eatery has taken over, and will resurrect the Hamtramck institution and make it even better, in hopefully just a few weeks.10337 Joseph Campau St., Hamtramck
• Selden Standard: Chef Andy Hollyday's hotly anticipated restaurant hosted a pop up at The Oakland, and they're supposed to begin hiring staff late this summer, but they're keeping the opening date vague, just committing to sometime this fall. 3921 2nd Ave.
• Addison Eatery: What: Maurice Wiggins, owner of the Hudson Café, is opening a new restaurant in the old Atlas Global Bistro location. Expect American classics with "a touch of soul". When: As the building is ready to go, they're hoping to open end of July to mid-August. 3111 Woodward Ave.
• La Rondinella: Dave Mancini of Supino Pizzeria has been cautiously working to open his rustic Italian restaurant next door to the pizzeria, but "late summer" is the only date given, and with no recent updates that may be unlikely. In short, no word on when that homemade pasta is coming to Eastern Market, but hopefully it will be before the end of the year. 2453 Russell St.
