It all began Thursday with three thieves walking into Lucido Fine Jewelry at Schoenherr Road and 19 Mile in Sterling Heights with a sledge hammer, smashing the glass display cases and making off with six pricey Rolex watches, Fox 2 reports. Two people stood outside.

A high-speed police ensued, reports Ron Savage of Fox 2.  The robbers in two U-Haul pickups crashed during the chases and all five people involved were arrested. One was treated for injuries.

"Three guys walked in the door with a sledge hammer, smashed the case five times," says owner Joe Lucido. "(They) grabbed watches and ran out the door. They took six pieces and ruined our showcases."

"They know Rolexes. They can get $1,000 for them. Watches are worth $30,000.".
