Something was missing at Sunday night's Oscars, notes WXYZ anchor Stephen Clark: Films made in Michigan.

Not so long ago, crews and famous actors created big movies in Detroit and elsewhere around the state, including "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Red Dawn" and the "Transformers" franchise.

But in 2015, Gov. Rick Snyder signed legislation ending the program, saying the funding didn't justify the number of jobs that were created.
