If you're Taylor Mayor Rick Solars, you won't get much sleep Tuesday night.
FBI agents earlier in the day raided Taylor City Hall and Sollar's home and Lenawee County vacation property in Cement City, about 80 miles west of Detroit, The Detroit News reports.
"I was surprised, for sure," the suburban mayor said at an afternoon media briefing.
The raid comes amid questions about Taylor police officers pocketing vehicle inspection fees and allegations Sollars and a councilman allegedly got kickbacks from a towing contractor, the paper writes.
A FBI team arrived at city hall around 10:30 a.m., Special Agent Mara Schneider told The News.
