Any way you put it, the Pistons took a beating Sunday night in Milwaukee in their first playoff appearance since 2016, losing to the Bucks 121-86. It didn't help that star Blake Griffin didn't play.

Nonetheless, it was bad, writes Pat Caputo of The Oakland Press:

That wasn’t a loss but proof the Pistons would have been better off tanking than making the NBA playoffs.

An emphatic example why every Pistons' apologist needs to cease now and dial-a-clue for a realty check.

The Pistons embarrassed themselves and the deep and storied basketball tradition in this town during a  121-86 playoff defeat to Milwaukee Sunday.

It wasn’t the Bad Boys. It was just bad. It wasn’t the Going to Work Pistons. It was the Going to Sleep Pistons.
