Off-Duty Detroit Cop Fatally Shot in Domestic Dispute in Garden City

A female off-duty Detroit police officer was shot and killed Sunday night at a Garden City home in what police are calling a domestic incident, Robin Murdoch of Fox 2 reports.

The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Belton Street, near Cherry Hill and Inkster roads.

The officer was found dead in the home, Fox 2 reports. A second person was found injured with a gunshot wound outside the home and taken to the hospital. Details of the dispute are still unclear.
