After eight years, the gallery-style coffee shop Fourteen East has closed in the Park Shelton on Woodward and Kirby in Midtown Detroit.
In an announcement on its door and social media, owner Joanne Czerny said she's moving to Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business down the block at 2771 Woodward Ave., just north of Little Caesars Arena. A December opening is envisioned.
The shop displayed artists' work and served quiche, bagels and sandwiches.
