Two veteran women Michigan corrections officers were found dead Friday in their northern Michigan home in Grand Traverse County, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State Police are investigating the deaths of Tara Kelley, 53, and Angelina Winn, 49, of Paradise Township, officials said.
"This is an open and ongoing investigation," the sheriff's department said in a statement posted on Facebook on Friday. " At this time there is no reason to believe that there is a threat to the public."
The women were officers at the Oaks Correctional Facility near Manistee.
