A Redford man is free on bond after agents found over 20,000 child pornography files on his computer and cell phone, federal authorities allege.
Keith Edward-Gerald Dotson, 34, appeared in U.S. District Court in Detroit on child pornography charges Tuesday. He's free on $10,000 bond to await a preliminary examination Dec 11.

A tip that started the case came from staff at the social media site Tumblr. They noticed suspicious content on one user’s account, The Detroit News reports.
According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court last week, the social media site Tumblr submitted a cyber tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Dec. 11, alleging someone with the username ltgrlvr4 had uploaded some 15 clips depicting child porn the day before.
A United States Secret Service agent reviewed the material and saw two nude young girls with adult men, and investigators learned the Tumblr user had posted numerous pornographic images, an affidavit stated.
The user’s internet protocol address led the feds to Dotson’s Redford Township home, where agents in July executed a search warrant and collected whatbthey say are “hundreds of videos and images depicting child pornography.”
