Someone bought Kid Rock's house, which we cruelly mocked last summer

That didn't take long.

Kid Rock's Detroit house, which totally burnished his street cred as a proud supporter of the city he likes to pronounce Dee-troit, sold in August for $2 million, cash, to an LLC with a Grosse Pointe Farms address. Figures.

Deadline employed its usual sneering tone when we touted the house in July, which we can't help but think really helped plant that SOLD sign in the yard. Because who wouldn't want that Jesus of the Hedge sculpture, really?

Curbed Detroit had the scoop:

The American Colonial sits on the East Riverfront and has direct access to the Detroit River. It comes with a boathouse that has jet ski lifts and two outdoor TVs. Inside, there’s six bedrooms, a recreation room with a poker table and wet bar, and a very red dining room. It’s gotten some renovations in the recent past, including a new kitchen and metal ceiling tiles on the second floor.

Anyway, we wish we could tell you more, but every time we think of Kid, we remember he sampled Warren Zevon and just get even more irritated than usual.
