Put a slice on it: Pizza love meets the romantic kind in Domino's promo

It's a match made in mozzarella.

A lucky pizza fan can win an engagement ring shaped like a pepperoni slice from the Australian division of Domino's, the Ann Arbor-based chain founded by Tom Monaghan.

"Does someone have a 'pizza' your heart?" tweet the Down Under folks. "We're giving one lucky pizza lover the chance to pop the question with this diamond pizza slice engagement ring!"

The Valentine's Day promotion invites Australian customers who "think you've found your slice of heaven" to submit a 30-second video showing how pizza will be part of their wedding proposal.

The "one-of-a-kind pizza slice engagement ring is worth more than $9,000," the business says. It's designed in Paddington, Australia, by Artisans Bespoke Jewellers.

It's one gaudy ring for a woman or man and one giant marketing step for Domino's, which gains entrants' email addresses, phone numbers, ages and permission to use submitted videos "in marketing activities globally."

Domino's Pizza Enterprises, based in Queensland, is Australia's biggest pizza chain by shops (over 1,500) and sales.

We can't post this without the Dean Martin classic you're already thinking of:
