3 Die in Detroit Freeway Crash -- Alcohol and Speed Believed to Be at Blame

A two-car crash on eastbound I-94 and Outer Drive in Detroit early Monday morning killed three people, WXYZ reports. Police believe alcohol and speed were a factor.

Around 2 a.m. a Chevy Camaro driving at a high speed rear-ended a Mercury SUV. 

A 39-year-old man was driving the Camaro, with a 38-year-old woman in the passenger seat. A 61-year-old was driving the Mercury SUV. 

All three were pronounced dead at a hospital.
